The Duck
History
This embroidery canvas is inspired by traditional textile decorations where nature is depicted with simplicity and elegance. In the center of the composition, a duck peacefully glides among reeds, in a scene imbued with softness that evokes marshes, ponds, and country landscapes.
Framed by a decorative frieze with folk accents, the motif recalls old textiles and popular works that once adorned country houses. The shades of sage green, greyish blue, warm brown, and deep red create a harmonious ensemble, both vibrant and timeless.
Printed and then delicately hand-retouched, this canvas combines drawing precision, embroidery comfort, and richness of shades. The details of the plumage, reeds, and water reflections are gradually revealed stitch by stitch, bringing this charming natural scene to life.
The kit includes
