Product Details

Suspended between sky and sea, this heart to embroider pays tribute to the Normandy Landings and the friendship that has united France and the United States since 1944. At the center of the composition, an iconic aircraft flies over the French and American flags, a symbol of hope, courage, and freedom.

The blue background evokes the vast Norman skies, while each stitch gradually reveals this scene steeped in history. Through embroidery, memory becomes tangible, and the patient art of needlepoint extends the transmission of a precious legacy.

A creation that is both decorative and symbolic, inspired by the landscapes of the Normandy coast and the emotion of D-Day commemorations.

Execution

A project accessible to both beginner and experienced embroiderers. The graphic shapes of the aircraft and flags provide an enjoyable rhythm to stitch, while the shades of the sky and historical details bring richness and character to the piece.

Every stitch contributes to bringing forth a delicate tribute to one of the most significant moments of the 20th century.

Finishing & use

Once embroidered and mounted, this heart becomes a decorative object filled with meaning. Hung from a handle, a tree, a wall, or displayed on a shelf, it elegantly recalls the Norman landscapes and the history of the Landings.

Through the time it requires, the gesture it embodies, and the memory it conveys, this heart acquires inestimable value, far beyond its decorative use.

The pattern is precisely printed on the canvas mesh, then checked and touched up by hand in our workshop. Each color is thus perfectly positioned to provide a clear design, faithful to the original and intuitive to stitch, point by point.
