D-DAY HEART
History
Suspended between sky and sea, this embroidery heart pays tribute to the Normandy landings and the friendship that has united France and the United States since 1944. At the center of the composition, an emblematic airplane flies over the French and American flags, a symbol of hope, courage, and freedom.
The blue background evokes the vast Norman skies, while each stitch gradually reveals this scene steeped in history. Through embroidery, memory becomes tangible, and the patient act of needlepoint prolongs the transmission of precious remembrance.
A creation that is both decorative and symbolic, inspired by the landscapes of the Normandy coast and the emotion of the D-Day commemorations.

Execution
A project accessible to both beginner and experienced embroiderers. The graphic shapes of the airplane and flags offer a pleasant rhythm for stitching, while the nuances of the sky and historical details add richness and character to the overall design.
Every stitch contributes to creating a delicate tribute to one of the most significant moments of the 20th century.
Finishing & Use
Once embroidered and mounted, this heart becomes a decorative object full of meaning. Hung on a doorknob, a Christmas tree, a wall, or displayed on a shelf, it elegantly recalls the Norman landscapes and the history of the Landings.
Through the time it requires, the gesture it embodies, and the memory it transmits, this heart acquires invaluable worth, far beyond its decorative use.
