The gardener, an emblematic motif of Toile de Jouy, embodies the simple, industrious life of the 18th century. Against an ecru background, this figure, like nature itself, reveals itself with understated elegance, poised between work and poetry. The monochrome blue or pink coloring accentuates the serenity of this bucolic scene, paying homage to the daily life of gardens of yesteryear.
The border is worked in counted cross stitch using the provided chart, allowing you to complete the design with precision and freedom. The kit includes: a hand-painted canvas, fine "La Royale" Aubusson wool for the design and background, a needle, and stitch instructions.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE
Each canvas is hand-painted by Annie and Mylène in our Paris workshop. Mother and daughter continue a savoir-faire passed down since 1978, blending precision, intuition, and love for detail. No two canvases are alike — each is one-of-a-kind.
Our wools are dyed in Aubusson, exclusively for Annie Bouquet. Vibrant, one-of-a-kind colors designed to complement every detail of the artwork.
Hand painting, high-quality wools, and fine canvas make stitching easier and ensure an exceptional finished tapestry, refined, long-lasting, and a pleasure to stitch.
Our workshop assists you every step of the way: wool refills, personalized guidance, worldwide shipping, and private visits to our Paris atelier.
